At our Japanese mainstay guests can order à la carte or opt for the popular all-you-can-eat option.

They have a NEW and improved menu!!!

I’ve been here a few times and I’ve always enjoyed my experience.

Pricing (all you can eat “AYCE”):
Weekdays lunch – $24.45
Weekdays dinner – $29.45
Weekends all day -$29.95

Service/atmosphere:
I went on a Monday around 7:20pm and there was little to no line/wait. The place a pretty big and it’s great for bigger parties (10+). Service was wonderful!!! One of the servers knew I couldn’t finish a roll and said she’d be down to share half of the roll with me so I wouldn’t get charged for the uneaten portion. She was incredibly kind and everyone usually seems in a good mood when I’ve come to this place.

Food:
If it weren’t for the amount of rice they put in the rolls I would’ve given this place a solid 5 stars BUT the only bad thing is that they add way too much rice. Which, is smart on them because parties get fuller faster which means less orders.

Spicy Lion King is my absolute FAVORITE **heart eyes**

Fried calamari was really good too (I still think Gen has the best damn fried calamari on the planet)!

Tekka handroll was decent…don’t forget to add soy sauce and wasabi because it’s a little bland.

Salmon tataki roll was pretty good! First time having sushi with raw onion and it meshed well together.

I don’t remember the names of the other rolls but all were good from what I could remember.

Would I come back here? Absolutely.

Depending on what you get, the AYCE sushi can be a win or bust for your waistline.

Not gonna sugar coat it – Kenzo is a pretty pricey penny for the AYCE. However, given the quality of all the other AYCE sushi places around the South Bay area, it’s not so bad overall at $25+ per person.

There is an unlimited number of rounds you can order. You just may potentially be charged extra if you have a bunch of food leftover…so don’t waste food.

Rice Portions — If you order any of the basic or specialty rolls, there’s gonna be a big portion of rice. The point is to get you stuffed full on starches quicker so you don’t end up getting as much of the other stuff, which is a bit of a bust in my book :/ When I go out for sushi, I’m craving the fish and avocado, not rice.

Fish Quality — The different cuts of fish and seafood that I received were generally all very fresh and generous portions (particularly in the sashimi salad).

Rolls — We tried the Salmon Lover, Spider Man 1, and Rock and Roll.
Like mentioned above, the rolls come with a good portion of rice. Not a huge fan of the roll contents. If you’re looking to try soft shell crab though, try out the Spider Man rolls.

Nigiri — The sake (salmon) and hamachi (yellowtail) are DELICIOUS 🙂 Kenzo ain’t skimpy with the amount of fish you get per nigiri.

Sashimi Salad — My favorite dish out of the entire AYCE menu. Seriously. If you’re just here for fish, you’ll be happy just ordering a stream of these salad bowls. The variety of fish included is fresh and tasty. They include seaweed with the mixed greens.

Miso — warm and yummy. Not too salty. Comes with pieces of seaweed and soft tofu. Perfect way to end a meal.

Overall, I really enjoyed my meal here. If I come back, I’d probably just stick with the sashimi salad and nigiri rolls. Would recommend trying this place out at least once if you’re into AYCE meals.

I recently went here for linner (lunch + dinner) and was surprised to see their AYCE (all you can eat) dinner prices went up. It used to be $24.95 per person but now it’s $27.95 per person. A $3 increase doesn’t seem like a lot until you see the food portions.

Kenzo has definitely reduced how big their sushi rolls used to be. It’s great that there’s less rice but the overall rolls are smaller so you may be ordering more rolls or other food to make up for the sizes. You get a two hour eating limit. Supposedly they charge for leftovers for the AYCE folks but I haven’t gotten charged… yet. The fish quality is still above average but the plate presentation reminds you that you’re at an AYCE joint vs. a basic sushi restaurant. I’m not saying that food here should be served on a 24K gold platter but at least spruce up the presentation somehow.

I definitely plan on coming back. I figured if I go to a different sushi place, I’ll end up paying a similar amount or more elsewhere and still get the same quality. Get the sashimi tacos and the free Asian coffee candy before you walk out the door; they’re both to die for and super delicious!

This is a great AYCE sushi restaurant. You will never leave this place hungry with all of the options you can choose from on their menu, ranging from their appetizers to their rolls. The only reason why I give it four stars and not five is due to the service. It’s not the worst, but it sucks having to flag down somebody when you are ready to put in another order for your next round. Yes, this place gets packed which will result in less attentive servers, but man, waiting a LONG time to place an order can be a little annoying. Overall though, this is a great place to come for your sushi craving.

Haven’t been to Kenzo in a while, the last review I wrote for this place was years ago. My parents were craving sushi and we decided to have dinner here. Dinner gets pretty packed and it’s well known and one of the few places that does AYCE sushi. Considering it’s summer and school’s out you can bet this place was poppin’ full of hungry highschoolers and college students. Wait wasn’t that bad and we were seated promptly is the bustling restaurant.

Ordered the Hamachi Kama to start, I ordered the Mango Crunch Roll and my parents got the Dinner Bento Boxes.

Hamachi Kama – wowow, most places usually give you dinky little portions but the collar here was huge! Lovely roasted flavor, fatty, luscious, succulent and was absolutely delicious. Such a great starter for a good price! The tender fish dipped in the sauce with a squeeze of lemon juice is perfection.

Mango Crunch Roll – my favorite sushi roll here. Spicy imitation crab with mango topped with salmon and avocado then finished off with tempura its and sauce. It’s a great roll if you want something spicy, sweet and light. The textures are fun!

The bento box portions were big and both my parents had to take their remaining home, which is a good deal!

They have a big menu as well as AYCE, there’s a bit of something here for everybody.

Our server was a younger guy who was really friendly and a bit funny. Noticed he was running around getting to his tables of AYCE orders, but was still in a positive mood. There are TVs here and the place is pretty clean, despite it’s layout is the same from it’s previous establishment that gives it a diner feel. Glad I got to visit Kenzo again after all these years!

My second time here and it was for a reservation for about 15 of us. We were seated not too long after we got there and they were very busy so good thing we made a reservation or else we would’ve been waiting forever!!

We had 3 menus to order off of since we had a large party. We also had a couple different waitresses too. I thought service overall was alright since they were waiting the house restaurant. Our waitress did miss a few of our items but no biggie we ordered plenty anyways.

The quality of the salmon on the sake was soo big compared to other AYCE sushi buffets. And they didn’t pack it with rice either! There’s many different rolls you can try but be aware that it is full sized rolls and not half size rolls. Most of our items were really yummy and everyone left with a full stomach.
